Peter F. Cervinka is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cerco Capital and has more than 30 years of experience in real estate finance, development, and asset management. He began acquiring multifamily properties in New York in 1987, operating them with an in-house construction and management team. In the 1990s, he expanded into the development of luxury townhouses in Manhattan, establishing a track record in ground-up residential projects.
Over the past decade, his focus has shifted toward real estate credit, and he and his team have originated more than $1 billion in senior mortgage loans across the United States.
Mr. Cervinka previously served on the Board of Directors of Newmark Group Inc. (NASDAQ: NMRK), a leading global commercial real estate services firm.
Prior to relocating to the United States from Austria, Mr. Cervinka founded and operated a construction company employing more than 120 people. He holds the German equivalent of an MBA from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
