Chief Investment Officer
Wayne Sturman joined Cerco as Chief Investment Officer upon its formation in 2017. He has more than 30 years of investment experience, with a primary focus on real estate and complementary expertise in private equity and venture capital.
Prior to joining the Family Office, Mr. Sturman served as a principal at Paradigm Capital Group, a New York City–based commercial real estate investment firm. He was responsible for overseeing the full investment process, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio management. During his tenure, he established the firm's credit-risk evaluation standards and structured both debt and equity transactions across multiple property types.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Investment Banking for BCM Capital Management, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, PIPEs, and corporate restructurings. His broad capital markets background complements his extensive real-estate expertise and informs Cerco's disciplined underwriting approach.
Mr. Sturman graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca College with a B.S. in Finance and earned a graduate degree in Real Estate from New York University.
